Android or Iphone 4?

I’m gonna be getting a new phone and switch to Verizon by the end of this weekend. I don’t know if i should just get another android phone or get an iphone 4. I’ve never had an iphone before but it seems it would be a step back in terms of what it would let me do. Suggestions? Unbiased opinions would help out a lot.
